Dr. Mohammad is a Professor of Clinical Geriatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine and Director of the Geriatric Dentistry Program at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Columbus, Ohio, one of the largest and most comprehensive program of its kind in the U.S. In addition he serves as director of outreach and community based education programs at the college of dentistry Ohio State university. He was awarded a U.S. Public Health Service Fellowship and a Master of Science in Diagnostic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. In addition, Dr. Mohammad acquired formal training in Geriatric Dentistry and a Master of Public Health at the University of Texas, San Antonio, and was a mid-career fellow in Geriatric Dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Mohammad holds an academic fellowship in Oral Medicine from the American Academy of Oral Medicine and an honorary fellowship from The American College of Dentists. Dr. Mohammad has lectured extensively nationally and throughout the world and he is a vice-president of the dental section of the Gerontological Society of America. He currently directs the Geriatric Dentistry Program at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, which has won a recognition award in 2000 from the American Dental Association and was selected as the best program for providing services to the elderly for the 2001. Dr. Mohammad published over 30 papers and monographs. He served as coeditor of the American Academy of Oral Medicine sponsored monograph "Clinician's Guide to Oral Health in the Geriatric Patient", and he is the author of "Geriatric Dentistry" (text book).
